BRASILIDADE PÓS-MODERNISMO

The Ministry of Tourism and Banco do Brasil present and sponsor Brasilidade Pós-Modernismo, an original exhibition that celebrates one hundred years of the Week of Modern Art of 1922.

Curated by Tereza de Arruda, the exhibition covers Brazilian contemporary art whose existence is owed, in part, to the legacy and artistic boldness proposed by Modernism. Divided in six cores, the exhibit covers relevant themes related to Brazilianess as freedom, future, identity, nature, aesthetics and poetry, and presents painting, photographs, drawings, sculptures, installations and new media from 51 artists representing several generations and geographic origins.
